As public historians, we are passionate about presenting the past through engaging narratives while also ensuring the integrity of the historical message.
Conducting comprehensive research and creating multimedia exhibits
We specialize in research, learning about the past by conducting archival research, oral history interviews and traditional knowledge studies. After a deep look into the historical record, we work with museum staff to create accessible and compelling experiences for their visitors, including interactive exhibits, self-guided tours, virtual exhibits and text panels. Know History can support clients in all levels of exhibit development from research and writing to low-cost app development and graphic design.
We are proud to have worked with small community museums as well as national and provincial institutions including the Canadian Museum of History, the Canadian War Museum and the Royal Alberta Museum to create exhibits in digital, film and text-based formats. We also partner with companies, tourism providers and public institutions to craft exhibits that help them to commemorate, understand or celebrate their histories.
